Botox-
Botulinum Toxin – Botox® and Dysport®
Botulinum Toxin is a purified protein initially approved for more than 20 years to treat a variety of medical maladies, originally for the treatment of eye conditions (blepharospasm) and facial ticks. More recently it has been approved for treating wrinkles (rhytids) of the frown lines, forehead and crow’s feet. Other applications include elevation of brows, softening the lines under the eyes as well as opening the eyes, elevation of the nasal tip, and elevation of the corners of the mouth as well as softening the chin and necklines. BOTOX® has also been FDA approved for treatment of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), the cost of which may be covered by your insurance company. Hyaluronic Acid Fillers – Restylane®, Juvederm®, Juvederm Ultra Plus®, Perlane®

Hyaluronic acid fillers are designed to correct wrinkles, augment the lips and contour the face such as the jowls, chin and cheeks.  Injections of small amounts of fillers can produce wonderful results in improving the skin’s texture, and in restoring facial contour in areas of tissue volume loss.  These products may be used alone or in combination to sculpt a better, more natural looking you

Ulthera Aesthetic Ultrasound
Ulthera aesthetic ultrasound is the latest treatment available for skin tightening of the face.  Not an injection, not laser or light, the Ulthera System utilizes ultrasound technology to first visualize then tighten the skin and deeper soft tissue.  In clinical evaluation at Northwestern University, subjects exhibited clinically significant, aesthetically pleasing lift of the brow line after just one treatment.  They reported firmer, tighter skin in other areas of the face and neck as well.  Ultrasound, trusted by doctors and expectant mothers everywhere for decades, now adds a new dimension to aesthetic medicine.  Daniel Barolet, M.D., an expert from the University of Montreal’s McGill University was quoted saying “Ultherapy is a quantum leap in skin tightening treatments.  One advantage with Ultherapy is that you can go deep with ultrasound, which you cannot do with other technologies such as lasers or radio-frequency.”  Ultherapy is also safe for all skin types, no matter how dark, since the technology uses sound waves, there is no risk of hyper or hypo-pigmentation.  We are currently the only practice in the state of Nevada that offers this cutting-edge technology.  You will be amazed at the results which comes to you at a fraction of the cost of performing a facelift.

LipoSonix

LipoSonix is a revolutionary, noninvasive way to eliminate unwanted fat bulges.

The LipoSonixsystem is an FDA-cleared device that uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) energy to non-invasively reduce fat in the skin of the abdomen and flanks.  The body then naturally processes and permanently removes the destroyed fat over a period of 8-12 weeks.  A single treatment typically reduces waist circumference by approximately 1 inch.

Sculptra Aesthetic
Sculptra Aesthetic is the latest treatment available for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss, wrinkles, skin droop and aging of the face.   It replaces lost collagen to give you a more natural looking appearance without giving you away.  Sculptra Aesthetic has been safely used worldwide since 1999 in over 150,000 patients.  In 2009 the FDA granted approval in the U.S. for the correction of shallow to deep nasolabial fold (smile lines) contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles which are treated with appropriate injection technique in healthy people.  Sculptra Aesthetic works to target the underlying causes of the signs of aging such as collagen loss–it is made of a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which works to replace lost collagen.  Poly-L-lactic acid is safe – absorbed naturally by the body – and has been used for years in dissolvable stitches.

Sculptra Aesthetic is the first facial injectable with results that can last up to 2 years after your last treatment.  The results are not immediate.  Because it targets the underlying causes of the signs of facial aging, it can give you noticeable results that emerge subtly and can last for up to 2 years.  Some visible improvements can be seen within the first few weeks of treatment, but the Sculptra Aesthetic regimen is designed to deliver its unique effects over the course of a few months.  Typically, an average of 3 treatment sessions over a period of a few months – and because results happen gradually, you’ll see subtle yet noticeable results in the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds.

How do I know if Sculptra Aesthetic is right for me?  If you want subtle yet noticeable results, Sculptra Aesthetic may be right for you.  Sculptra Aesthetic is injected beneath the skin and works to gradually replace lost collagen, targeting the underlying causes of the signs of facial aging, for results that can last up to 2 years.  For more information please click on this link:

Laser Treatment (tattoos and telangiectasias)

Lasers are used to correct wrinkles, visible blood vessels, discoloration, remove tattoos, and excessive hair.  We provide laser treatment for removal of tattoos using the VascuLight® laser.  This laser may also be used to treat telangiectasias, which are visible blood vessels, in the facial regions.  The Fotofacial® or Photofacial® is also an excellent choice for treatment of facial blood vessels.

FotoFacial or PhotoFacial also known as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

IPL uses intense pulses of light to heat dermal collagen, thus inducing a variety of cosmetic enhancements.  Because it is essentially intense pulses of light containing a spectrum of wavelengths, it is not a laser.  IPL can reduce sun-induced damage, even out pigmentation irregularities, remove vascular and pigmented lesions, decrease redness from Rosacea, and give skin a more youthful appearance.  This form of treatment is good for the face, neck, chest, back and hands.

Thermage

The Thermage procedure is performed with a machine called the NXT which delivers radiofrequency energy into the skin, uniformly heating the dermis while cooling and protecting the epidermis. The deep, sustained, uniform heat in the deeper tissue underneath the skin’s surface produces contraction and tightening of the skin. It is designed to cause immediate tightening of collagen fibers, which leads to increased production of collagen over time. The tightening of the tissue smoothes out wrinkles and loose skin, producing skin with a more youthful appearance.  Thermage provides skin tightening without surgery and is an excellent option for treating cellulite involving the legs and abdomen.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels have been around for centuries. It is believed even Cleopatra used them when she bathed in sour goat’s milk—though she probably didn’t realize the lactic acid was giving her skin a rejuvenating peel.  Chemical peeling is used to improve the skin’s appearance by applying a chemical solution to the skin, causing the top layers to separate and peel off. The new skin is smoother, less wrinkled, and maybe more even in color.

  • Obagi Blue Peel – This is a trichloroacetic acid peel used to rejuvenate the skin.   This peel can be used under the face to include around the eyes and neck.
  • Beta-Lift Peel – Developed by the inventor of Retin-A, Beta-Lift peels are as effective as 70% glycolic-acid peels without risk of redness or flaking skin.  No recovery time is involved.  Skin glows with a more youthful appearance.  Regular Beta-Lift peels are an excellent means of preserving the facial skin and preventing the need for more invasive procedures.  Beta-Lift is a salicylic acid based peel that lifts unwanted dead, dull cells off the surface of your skin and stimulates a “burst of renewal” promoting healthy, young, living cells to migrate to the surface. The treatment penetrates hair follicles making Beta-Lift peels well-suited for treatment of Acne, Acne Rosacea and enlarged pores.
  • Vitalize Peel – A blend of acids which provide you a safe, reliable deep exfoliation with little down time.  You will see improvement in skin tone, texture and possibly a decrease in pore size with repeated treatments.  Vitalize peels are useful for treatment of sun-damaged and acne-scarred skin.

Spider Vein Treatment

Sclerotherapy remains the gold standard in treating spider veins of the legs.  The procedure entails injecting a solution of hypertonic saline into the vein to irritate the lining of the vessel causing it to stick together and eventually “scar” down.  Compression stockings or use of Ace wraps for three days after the procedure are recommended to further inhibit blood flow through the vessels until they have completely closed.  Sclerosing remains the best treatment option because the solution tracks the blood vessels for up to ten centimeters within the tissue, no matter how large or how small they are in size–unlike laser treatments which must induce a through the skin injury along the entire length of every vessel.

We strive to help you towards a better looking you.  Diligent brow shaping may accentuate your eyes.  To further your goal to beautification we offer lip, chin, eyebrow and underarm waxing.

Eyebrow and Lash Tinting

Do your eyes sparkle like jewels or do they simply get lost in the scenery of your face? Your eyes may be emerald pools, but lackluster brows and nearly invisible lashes can fail to set them off to their utmost potential. Create “eye opening” appeal and add pizzazz to your features with a popular procedure known as tinting.  Most of us spend hours primping and plucking in order to find that elusive ideal brow shape—after all the brows act as the natural frame for our face. But even the best-shaped brows may not set off the eyes if hair is fine, sparse or pale. Brow tinting may be your solution. Just like having your hair colored, brow tinting changes the color, adds the illusion of thickness and dimension.  Keep in mind tweezing or waxing should always be done AFTER the tint. This allows for maximizing the amount of brow hair available for shaping. If tweezing before tinting, the maximum potential of each eyebrow may be missed.
